April 1-6, 2003

April is here and fishing is GREAT! We started the week off with Pete, Tim, TJ and Jeff from Atlanta, Georgia. These guys had a great time catching some bonito's and kingfish and then they got serious and brought in a nice hammerhead shark. Nice catch guys! Next out were our friends Todd and Mark and they enjoyed an afternoon catching bonito's, kingfish and then we did a drop over a wreck and Mark brought in a really nice amberjack. Way to go Mark!!! Mid-week we had Roland from Sweden on board and he caught a large dolphin fish. That afternoon we had a group of guys from Raytec on board and they caught a 30 pound kingfish that put up a nice fight. Late in the week we had a group of guys that work for Caterpillar Diesel out in Colorado on board and they caught some kingfish and they landed a really nice sailfish. Great catch guys!! Over the week-end we took Harry and Jim from New England and Massachusetts out on the Hooked Up and they did get hooked up! Harry caught and released a nice Dusky shark and Jim landed a really nice 38 pound bull dolphin fish. Our last trip of the week was Barbara, Diane and Elaine from Boston and Ft. Lauderdale and they enjoyed an afternoon catching a huge amberjack and a nice 30 pound cow dolphin fish. What a great week of fishing!

April 7-13, 2003

Fishing has been red hot this week! We started the week off with Dawn and Cory from Wyoming and they had a great time with Dawn catching a nice kingfish and Cory landing a really nice golden hammerhead. Next on board were Gavin and Christina from Sweden, who were on their honeymoon, and they landed a huge sailfish. Congratulations on your marriage and your sailfish! That afternoon we had Kath from Neptune City, New Jersey and Brenda from Cleveland, Ohio on board and they caught a nice sailfish and a barracuda. Way to go ladies! Firday and Saturday mornings, we had Mr. Bill Brown from Dallas, Texas and friends on board and they enjoyed their time on the ocean catching a variety of fish. They landed several bonito's, a few small knigfish, a 30 pound kingfish, a 50 pound kingfish, several dolphin fish and a golden hammerhead shark. Nice catch guys! We also had Howard, Allen and Regina from West Palm Beach, Florida out with us Friday afternoon and they landed 4 kingfish, 5 bonito's and a golden hammerhead shark. Our last trip of the week was Ahmed, Umar and Aysha from Philadelphia and Boston on board and they landed 2 really nice golden amberjacks!

April 14-20, 2003

We had another busy week on the Hooked Up. We started the week out with Bobby and Dena Slade from Illinois, who are good friends of ours. We had a great day of fishing with Dena catching a really nice barracuda and a golden amberjack and then Bobby landed the largest golden hammerhead shark ever brought aboard the Hooked Up. All said, we had a great day of fishing with friends and can't wait to see them again! Next on board was Marty, Brendon, Ashley, Todd and Nancy from Texas and Boca, Florida and they caught a huge amberjack. Next out was Mia, Mike, Mary and Tim from Boca, Florida and Ohio and they landed a really nice bull dolphin fish. Late in the week we had Albert, Sandy, Tim and Ed from Boca, Florida on board and they caught several kingfish and a nice amberjack. Over the weekend we had Hank and Mark Harden from East Bridgewater, Massachusettes on board and they landed a couple of kingfish and a real nice golden hammerhead shark. Nice catch guys! Out last trip out was with Roy and Mike from London, England and New York City and they enjoyed an afternoon catching several kingfish, a bonito and 2 barracudas. Nice fishing everyone!

April 21-30, 2003

April has been a great month for fishing here in Ft. Lauderdale. We started out this week with Meredith from New York and Michelle from Hollywood, Florida and they landed 2 nice 35 pound amberjacks. Next on board were Pete Palone and his family from Ft. Lauderdale and Scott and Eric from Long Island, New York and they caught a large kingfish and a bonito. Our next trip was with Kelly, Brian, Raegan and Joe from Waco, Texas and they landed several kingfish, a bonito and we lost a huge wahoo at the boat. That is how fishing goes, somedays the fish win to fight again! Mid week we had Anthony, Julian, Anthony and Dawn from Michigan on board and they enjoyed catching 2 large barracuda's. That afternoon Andrew and Anthony from Milton, Massachusetts were out with us and they had a blast catching 5 dolphin fish and a load of red snappers. Late in the week Brent and Jeff from Colorado were on board and they enjoyed a day of fishing, catching several dolphin fish and a hammerhaed shark. Over the weekend we tried to fish with Tom, Vie, Suzan and George from Los Angelos, California but before we could catch anything the weather turned bad and we had to return to the dock. Let's hope for better weather next time! Sunday the weather was better and we took out Tom, Carol, Eddie, Pappy and Kurt from Mandeville, Louisiana and had a great time with them and they enjoyed catching a nice golden hammerhead shark! What a nice group of people to enjoy a morning of fishing with. Our last trip of this month was with Robert and his friend from New Jersey and they caught a real nice dolphin fish and a large hammerhead shark. Wow, what a month, we hope everyone enjoyed their fishing trips on board the Hooked Up with Captain Taco, Captain Mango, Matt and Sherrie!
