| Wacking the Kingfish off the Coast of Ft Lauderdal
What a day of fishing our morning started out with Tim, Portia, Angela and Rachel all from Berlin Michigan. Tim had brought his three daughtrs down to South Florida for vaction. These guys just wanted action and action is what they got. We were hoping that the kingfish were biting but we never expected them to be biting like this. We started out trolling or should I say we were trying to put the baits out and do some trolling. The problem was we could not seem to get all the baits in the water the Kings were BITING to say the least. I’m not sure how many we caught but I can tell you that we were throwing them back. We got our limit in no time. (Sure wish we had that problem more often). We than decided to go off shore and see if we could find some dolphin fish but never did find them so we came back ion on the reef and you guessed it they were still biting like mad dogs. Great trip and great people can’t ask for more than that. And we still had one more trip to do today.
When we got back to the dock we had Peter and his son from Tampa Florida waiting for us and they were hoping we could find 2 others to split the cost with them. We had tried for 2 days to find others to split the boat with them but we struck out. All of a sudden our phone rang at the last min and it seems our luck was still with us. We got a call from 2 guys that were looking to do some fishing this afternoon before their plane took off. Never did get their names or where they were from they got off the boat and ran to the airport. But all the same we had a full trip and we were going to get a chance to see if we could whack the kingfish again. Once again we tried to do some trolling down the reef but once again we had trouble getting all the baits in the water at one time. What a BALL we would catch one and before we could get the bait back out the other rod would take off. Instead of just circling the school of kings I just kept heading north trying to get out of them and see if we could get something else to bite. As it turns out we made the right move. As Jay Jay was getting a kingfish into the fish box I yelled down to watch his right out rigger something had knocked it down. At this point Jay Jay was getting pretty tired of these king fish and he just slowly turned around and without even picking up the rod he just locked up the reel. I don’t know if he had planed it that way or if we were just on a lucky streak but all of a sudden I seen this big sailfish jumping behind the boat. As it was we were having a hard time getting Alex to give the other guys a chance to reel in some of the kings but this fish he was willing to fight for. Alex grabbed the rod and there was no taking it from him. As it turned out Alex like to fish I mean he really likes to fish his dad Peter was telling me that is what they do all the time in Tampa. Now Jay Jay put in into high gear and cleared all the other lines in no time flat. We were Hooked Up!! It took Alex a got 15 min to reel the sailfish next to the boat and Alex let his dad know that he had a birthday coming up in I think he said Sep and he really wanted to have this trophy mounted on the wall. Peter agreed to have this big sailfish mounted for Alex’s birthday but there was something about the good grades he would get in school in return. So the stage was set we needed to get this fish in the boat get a quick measurement a couple pictures and make sure these swamis away in good shape. Everyone on the boat had their job to do hold the fish down so it would not flap around and hurt itself hold the tape measure on each end of the fish take a couple quick pictures and last but not least slow troll the fish for a couple of min to get water flowing past him and get him swimming again. What a great job done by all and yes the fish swam away in good shape. For a better look at these picture go to photo gallery #3 I guess I don’t need to tell you about fishing down here in sunny south Florida so give us a call and let’s get you Hooked Up Captain Taco (954) 764-4344 Aug 8 2008
This morning I knew we would be having some good luck aboard due to the fact that this group out of Wichita Kansas had won themselves a free trip to Sunny South Florida. We got to the boat and there was Jo. Jim, Eric and Bruce all ready to do some fishing. We loaded up the boat and off we went. We started trolling down the reef hoping that the kingfish were still biting. And they were we had trouble getting all the lines in the water at the same time. This has been the case most of the week and this was a problem we were starting to get used to. We caught our limit of kings in no time and headed off shore hoping to find some real good eating fish like some dolphin fish are a Wahoo or 2. But after all the action we had on the reef and about 45 min of trolling off shore without a bite we decided to go back in on the reef where the fish were biting. We caught so many kingfish that we were throwing them back and we did manage to catch a couple of bonitos. Great day a great fun thanks again guys enjoy the rest of your paid vacation. The time is now the weather has been great and the fish are biting like MAD DOGS so come on down and let’s do some deep sea fishing (I mean Catching) Captain Taco (954) 764-4344 Aug 9th
Today Jeff from Ft Lauderdale had his brother David from Fort Worth Texas fly into town and Jeff wanted to spend the morning fishing with him so Jeff also invited his friends Brain from West Palm Beach and Brain from Ft Lauderdale to spend the morning fishing with them. When I write these fishing reports I of course like to write about how good the fishing is but all the same we all know that it is called fishing and not catching for a reason. And today was one of those days. We were listing to the marine radio and for some reason the kingfish and bonitos were just not biting and as far as fishing off shore for dolphin fish well it just was not happening. So we decided to go for broke. We went out to 350 feet of water and set out a couple of live baits and 3 dead bloody bonitos down deep hopping to get lucky. We figured that this way we could cover 3 different types of fishing at the same time. After about 2 hours of waiting it seemed everyone was taking not getting a bite well except for me. I figured that even if we were not going to get a bite I wanted to show these guys that we were willing to try a few different types of fishing trying to get a bite. So I called Captain Greg up on the fly bridge with me and I was in the middle of saying something about going to do some deep drops on a wreck or something different when he looked at me and said that he would be fine with that but he wanted to catch this hammer head shark first and with having said that he took off running back down in the cockpit. Son Of A Gun he was right here came this hammer head shark charging one of our baits like a freight train. (GAME ON) we were Hooked Up and Jeff wasted no time jumping in the chair. It was not a monster hammer head but it was every bit of 5 foot and we were glad to see him. It took Jeff about 15 min to get him to the boat and the fight really wore out this fish so we were able to slide him in the tuna door and get all 3 hooks out of him got a couple of quick pictures and watched him swim away in good shape. After we got the hooks out and reeled in all the other rods we were about out of time but we had an hour before our next trip so we decided to go ahead and drop live bait on one of the ship wrecks but sorry to say no bites there
Guys thanks again and looking forward to seeing you again. We seem to have managed to turn even a slow day of fishing into a good day and fishing is just getting better every day so give us a call and let’s get you Hooked Up. Captain Taco (954) 764-4344 Aug 13
Today we had Clark and Whitney’s sons Perry and Carol from Ney York aboard the Hooked Up and they brought along a couple of their collage buddies Andy also from Ney York and Kevin from Texas. I’ve got to say that these guys have caught and mounted just about every different kind of fish you can think of fishing with us here in sunny south Florida but today was not one of those days that we were looking to catch a trophy fish we were just looking for some action. In the past they have caught sailfish all different kinds of sharks groupers snappers and the list goes on and on but today we just went trolling the reef for kingfish and bonitos trying to just keep them in as much none stop action as possible. Thing were going just as we had hoped the kingfish and bonitos were biting well and these guys were reeling the fish in and then wiring the 60 foot leaders by themselves and getting the fish in the box all on their own. Then we got a bite that was a little bigger than all the other hits we were getting but we figured that it was probably just a little bigger king or bonito so we just sat back and let them continue what they had been doing. Carol jumped in the chair and reeled the planner to the rod tip and Perry got a hold of the leader and started wiring the fish in just like he had been doing. Then we noticed that this kingfish had strips and was a lot bigger than any of the other fish we had been catching. It was a little too late for Jay Jay to take over on the wiring and Perry was doing a good job at it all by himself. Jay Jay told Perry to just keep doing what he was doing but this time as he got the fish close to the boat just take one step backwards and Jay Jay would slide in front of him and see if he could get a shot at him with our big gaff. Talk about things going according to plan!! (PERFACT) Now a 60 inch Wahoo was now in the box. Way to go guys it could not have been done better. Thanks again and I sure we’ll be seeing you again soon. Summer is here and it looks like it is shaping up to being a very active fishing season so give us a call and let’s get you and your friends Hooked Up. Captain Taco (877) SEA-4344 Aug 14
This morning we started out with a shared charter. We had Ricardo and his son Ricardo JR from Bowie Marry Land and Sonya and her husband Corey from Fort Thomas Kentucky. We started out trolling the reef just to get everyone a few fish. It did not take long before everyone had caught a bunch of kingfish. Once again they were as we call it SNAPPING. Now that everyone had caught fish we were going after a big one. We set out our kites with a couple of live baits suspended from them and also 1 big dead bait also suspended from one of the kite. We also put a big shark bait 150 feet down and another one 350 down on the bottom. The trap was set and the wait was on. It took a good 40 min till we seen any more action but all at once our deep rod bent over and line started peeling off the reel. (We Were Hooked Up) At first everyone helped in clearing most of the lines out of the water so this sea monster we had on would not get all tangled up in the other lines. The only 2 lines we still had out was one of our kite baits that was way out there on the kite and out of the way and of course the rod that was bent over with this big fish on the other end. It was pretty obvious that this one was going to take quite some time to get to the boat so everyone once again played a part and took turns trying to get this monster to the boat. But once Ricardo got in the chair it was plain to see he was determined to get this fish to the boat. Once he did finally get this Hammer Head Shark to the boat he decided that he wanted us to get a measurement of the shark so he could have a replica trophy made of his catch. Once again it was a team effort but we did manage to slide this shark in our tuna door get all the hooks out of his mouth got a couple quick pictures and slid him back out the door to swim away to fight another day. For those of you that might be wondering how we go about getting such a big fish in the boat take the hooks out and slide him back out the door let me explain it a little for you. When we get hooked into one of these big fish we’ve got to clear the other lines so as not to get all tangled in them as we are doing this remember the fish is fighting to get away. Once the fish settles down a bit we start gaining line on him. By the time we do finally get the fish to the boat side they are usually pretty tired so as we grab the leader and slowly guide the fish toward a tuna door which is open and the bottom of the door is right there at the same level as the water outside we can just ease them in on their belly. This also makes it much easier for us to get all the hooks out of the mouth or where ever else the hooks might have the fish snagged and in turn this also gives the fish a much better chance of survival.. Anyways back to this fish after we got our measurement and a couple of quick pictures we slid him out the door and as we were all high fiveing and shaking hands I noticed that the one bait left in the water was just about to be piled on by yet another hammer head shark. (GAME ON AGAIN) I could not believe this was the middle of Aug this is not the right time of the year for these sharks to be around but we’ll take it. Once again team effort paid off and we got out second hammerhead of the day next to the boat. This time we were not going to take a measurement of the fish so I came down in the cock pit to give Jay Jay a hand in trying to get the hooks out of this shark’s mouth. In this case what we do is we try to gaff any hooks that are not in the fish’s mouth and cut the leader so the fish has a good chance swimming away in good shape. We did finally get the hooks out of our second shark’s mouth and no one lost any fingers (LOL)
When we got back to the dock we were throwing our kingfish up on the dock and this seemed to gather a crowd around the boat and everyone was asking us and our customers about our fishing trip. It only took me a couple of seconds to see that it looked as if a couple of these people might want to go it and give their luck a shot at catching some nice fish. We ended up with quit an interesting group on the boat we had Kenny from Tai Wan and a professional poker player from Las Vegas. You might have seen him on T V his name is Tommy Venus or AKA (TV) Tommy was in South Florida to see his daughter Camilla. So off we went to see if we could do it again. We started out trolling on the reef and once again we caught some kingfish. Then we went right back out there in 350 feet of water and put out our shark baits. This time we had to wait for over an hour but all at once BAM we were Hooked Up and it was GAME ON Tommy waited no time getting in the chair and his daughter wasted no time running up on the fly bridge with me. She wanted nothing to do with a big shark. It took Tommy a 45 min to finally get this hammer head to the boat but with the help of Kenny we were able to slide him in for a quick measurement and a few pictures. What a day it seemed nothing could go wrong. As we docked the boat we noticed that all of Kenny’s family was there waiting for us. It seemed that Kenny and his family were all big poker fans and they all wanted to take pictures with our mini celebrity TV we all had a ball. Thanks again to all of you for today’s great day of fishing. I can’t say why all these sharks are here but it might be in part to so many kingfish and bonitos around but for whatever reason come on down and be a part of this great fishing in Sunny South Florida. Captain Taco (954)764-4344 Aug 15
Today we got to the boat and we had Manny Rodriguez who used to play for the Cincinnati Reds base ball team with his son Manny JR who now plays for the USA Little League Team and Manny’s wife Mary. They brought along their good friends Jim and Teri and they brought along their son Zack. All live here in South Florida. We had talked to Manny the day before to see what he and his guests wanted to catch. They all agreed that they would love to catch some fish that they could fry up for dinner. Our first choice would have been to catch them some dolphin fish but they just have not really been around much so we decided to try our luck on the reef. We knew we would probably catch some kingfish and you never know we did catch a nice Wahoo a few days ago so trolling down the reef we went. After about one hour of trolling the reef we had way more kingfish then they could eat and Manny JR said how he would love to catch a big shark. So our mate Luis brought in all the trolling gear and switched it out for the heaver tackle. We did not have enough wind to fly our kites so we put the baits out on balloons and a couple of baits down deep. Now the trap was set and the wait was on. When you get used to having a different fish on every 3 min or so like the kingfish we had been catching the wait for the big bait can seem like forever. And that’s exactly what happen we waited for a good 45 min to an hour but it seemed like forever. But the flip side to that is when and if you do get the bite it’s going to be a good one. And that’s what happen when we got the bait we never did see him coming but when he started running away from the boat we sure knew it them. The rod was bent over and line was just screaming off the reel like it was never going to stop. And as for Manny JR well he jumped in the chair like he was sliding into home base and the fight was on. Once the fish did finally settle down a bit Manny JR put it to him. It was a good tug a war for at least 30 min but Manny finally managed to get this nice hammer head shark to the boat. Jay Jay came flying down the ladder like a fire man and they both got a good hold on the fish slid him into the boat got a good measurement and a few quick pictures and released this shark to fight another day. Speaking of pictures Manny if you send us some pictures we would love to post them. Manny and friends thanks so much we had just as much fun as you guys did. I’ve got to say that for Aug I don’t think I’ve ever seen fishing this good this time of the year down here in sunny South Florida so give us a call and let’s get you Hooked Up Thanks again to all our anglers Captain Taco 9954) 764-4344 Aug 16
About two weeks ago I got a call from a Jessica who wanted to give her boy friend Christian a fishing trip for his birthday but she had never charter a fishing boat before and wanted to make sure that all would go well. I told her to leave it to me while I can’t control the fishing I can make sure that everyone has a good time. So Jessica agreed to charter the boat and also invited some of their friends Doug, Jimmy, David and Jessy all from right here in Sunny South Florida. We started out trolling the reef heading south towards North Miami where I knew there were a couple of ship wrecks that don’t get hit that often. On our way down we did very good on the king fish and bonitos I’m not sure how many we caught but I can tell you that it was over 10 and more than they wanted. Once we got to the first ship wreck we did some deep drops and caught a big amber jack. We dropped again there but no more bites on this wreck so we moved on. Our next wreck was a little deeper this one was 350 feet down to the bottom but well worth it. We caught all different kinds of really good eating fish starting with a couple of big snappers 1 small grouper which we put back to give him a chance to get a little bigger. And I guess us helping that little grouper get back on its way gave us some good luck because on the next drop we caught a Yellow Edge Grouper and this is one of my favorite eating groupers and it was a big one to boot. Go to photo gallery #5 for a better look at these pictures. Happy Birthday Christian hope you guys enjoyed dinner and remember we’ll see you in Sep when it’s Jessica’s Birth Day All I can say is WOW what a summer for fishing in South Florida give us a call and let’s get you and your friends out on the watwer4 (954) 764-4344 Captain Taco Aug 17
A few weeks ago I got a call from a guy named James he said that he had fished with me back in 1998 and found me on the web site. He could not believe that I did not remember him but I’ve taken a few people fishing since then. Well James showed up in the morning with his dad Carl who just happens to be celebrating his 75th birthday. We also had Greg, John and Kevin. I’m sure they were all related but I never did ask. The reason I am sure is that these guys all had a few thing in common. First of all they all liked the New York Jets I mean the (New Jersey Jets) they all seemed to like busting my chops whenever we went for more than 5 min without a bite thank god the kingfish were biting real good and they all fished out of Glouster (why are they always from Glouster?) I’ll get back to my Glouster commit in a sec. O yea and they seemed to really like their BEER I mean a lot and I mean a lot of BEER (LOL) The reason I make the Glouster commit if you remember the movie The Perfect Storm when the Coast Guard was looking for the fishing boat that was missing they said why are they always from Glouster well it just so happens that James and his whole family were down in South Florida because it was Carl’s 75th birthday and he wanted the hole family to go on a cruise with him and his wife. No big deal right but wait it just so happens that we have a hurricane baring down on South Florida by tomorrow and it did not seem to bother these guys one bit they said they were used to rough weather. That’s why they are always from Glaster I guess. Any way back to our fishing trip we caught more kingfish then anyone wanted to and I guess I was not getting off the hook by just catching these guys kings. The last time James and I fishing together I guess we caught 3 sailfish and at the same time so I needed to show them a little more than just kingfish. So I worked our way down south to a ship wreck and cleared all the trolling baits and set up to do a deep drop. Dropped our first live bait and the sec it hit bottom BAM we were Hooked Up (thank god) I was getting RAZED pretty good by these guys and now I could RAZ them back. Since it was Carl’s B day we let him go first and I’ve got to say that if I am able to real in a big fish like he did at the age of 75 I be happy with that. This fish pulled a lot harder than a kingfish and it took Carl a good 5 min to get him to the boat but well worth it it turned out to be a big Amberjack. Now we had to see if we could do it again so down went the bait and once again BAM the sec we hit bottom I think this time it was Greg but I’m not sure but one thing I am sure of is that if I am wrong they will let me know! So now we had a box full of kingfish and we had caught and released a couple of real nice amberjacks so it was time for some sail fishing. We had our kites out for a good hour and a half we did have one sailfish come up and took a half ass shot at one of the live baits but never could get a hook in him. However we did catch a couple more kings only these ones were a bit bigger 15 to 18 pound range. All in all we did all have one hell of a fun day of fishing and James hope you guys have a great cruse and once again HAPPY B DAY Carl don’t drink to much (LOL) Guys we are having a ball fishing down here in Sunny South Florida so give us a call and let’s get you and your family Hooked Up Captain Taco (954)764-4344 Aug 25
This morning we got to the boat and we had Brain, Paul, Mike and Rob all from Chicago eager to spend the morning deep sea fishing for some big game. We started out trolling the reef just trying to put a few fish in the box to start out with. We caught a few kingfish and one bonito but for the most part trolling the reef was a bit slow. We decided to switch out our trolling gear for some big game fishing. So out went the kites with some live bait suspended from them along with one big dead bait. We also put down big bait on the bottom 350 feet down and a one about 150 feet down. This way we figured we had all our bases covered. The water looked good for a sailfish or maybe some dolphin fish but we did not except a shark to be around. We saw a big splash around our kite bait. The one dead kite bait so we knew it was no sailfish and by the way the line was screaming of f the reel this was no dolphin fish. Paul jumped in the fighting chair and the fight was on. It took Paul a good 25 minutes to finally reel this nice hammer head shark to the boat. We got a good measurement of the fish to have a replica trophy made of the fish and watched him swim away to fight another day. Way to go guys. What a fun morning of fishing I don’t know why there have been some hammer head sharks around maybe it’s because some of us charter boats have decided to stop killing our game fish for trophies and just getting the measurements which is all that is really needed to get a trophy made of your fish. Or maybe it is the change in the weather patterns but for whatever reason we a glad to see them here year round so come on down and be a part of the great fishing that South Florida has to offer. Captain Taco (954)764-4344 Aug 26
Today we had a shared charter we put together. We had Joe from Summer Set County New Jersey and Carlos and Nazareno from parts unknown. We started out trolling the reef to get a few fish in the box before going after the BIG one. We had no idea that the kingfish and bonitos were going to be biting this well. We caught so many so fast that before we knew it we had to start throwing the kingfish back (we had our limit) in no time. At this point everyone had caught a lot of fish and decided to try for a big one. In came our trolling gear and out went the kite and a couple of big shark baits. The trap was set and the wait was on. Sometimes after catching a lot of fish in a short period of time it can be hard to just sit and wait knowing that just inside of us on the reef the kingfish and bonitos are biting. But we did get the bite and a good bite at that. Joe wasted no time jumping in the chair and the fight was on. It took Joe 30 minutes to get this nice hammer head shark to the boat. The decision was made to get a quick measurement of the fish to have a replica trophy made of the fish and we released him back into the ocean to fight another day. We got our big baits right back out there and tried for another shark. The difference was that now it was not so hard to sit and wait for the bite as it was before knowing what the pay off could be. Sorry to say we did not get another shot at a shark but it was a great day for everyone on board. Thanks again guys and looking forward to seeing you guys again soon. Once again I say I don’t know why there are some of these hammer head sharks around this time of the year but we are sure glade there are so come on down and let’s get you Hooked Up Captain Taco (877) SEA-4344 Aug 23
Today we had Mike and his son Mike, Sue, Stephanie and Ryan from Bonita springs Florida out for a morning of deep sea fishing. We started out trolling the reef and caught a few kingfish. So we tried some shark fishing but we just had no current so went back to trolling. Than we had a big bite on one of our deep lines. The rod was bent over and line was peeling off the reel as if it was not going to stop coming off. But it did finally slow to a stop and Sue hung on to the rod and slowly stated gaining line on the fish. We knew that fishing was slow today and we were lucky enough to hook into something big and we sure wanted to catch this one. We cleared the other lines and slowly backed down on this fish. FINALLY got the leader and pulled up this Monster amber jack. (THANK GOD) we needed a nice catch way to go Sue. I know this was not the most exciting day of fishing but I will tell you that no matter how slow fishing is the crew on the Hooked Up will do their best to catch you fish. Sometimes luck has a little something to do with it to. That’s ok we’ll take it. Thanks again to the gang from Bonita Springs for a fun morning and we’ll see ya again soon. Let me start out by setting the screen on how this fishing trip came about. Where the Hooked Up is docked there are a few charter fishing boats but there are also a couple of other kinds of bossiness at our dock also. We’ve got a small boat rental. Snorkeling boat, charter sail boat and a river cruise boat called the Jungle Queen which takes passengers for a nice cruse threw down town Fort Lauderdale. On this particular day one Scott and his new bride Monica were on their honeymoon and were trying to go on this little cruse on the Jungle Queen. They missed the boat and were walking back down the dock when I struck up a conversation with them. They were from Highlands Ranch Colorado and had never been out on the ocean before. I let them know that this was their lucky day because not only were they going out on the Atlantic Ocean but they were also going to catch some fish. We went out and put out the trolling rods even though I had talked to some of the other charter boats that said the kings were not biting. Well we did not know what they were talking about because we had a hard time getting all the baits in the water at the same time they were biting so well for us. Good thing to because Monica was starting to not feel very good. So we caught them both a few kingfish and went cruising down the intercoastal and took in some of the South Florida sights. Thanks again guys I really enjoyed the fishing trip and don’t forget to tell your friends about us when they come down. Kings are biting real good right now and the big schools of bait fish are coming down the beaches so fishing is just going to get better every day so give us a call and let’s get you Hooked Up Captain Taco (954) 764-4344 Aug 29
Today we had Brandon from Wisconsin and Tyler from Organ out for a few hours of deep sea fishing. I’ve got to say that we were happy to just have the chance to get out there to do a little fishing. The weather has just not given us a break for a few days now. It was not that rough it was just very rainy and there was no way to do any kite fishing so we were just going to have to catch fish the good old fashion way( TROLLING) and that was just fine with us. We ended up with a total of 4 nice kingfish and 5 barracudas 2 of them were very big ones. I say a total of the fish because 1 of the 2 guys was well let’s just say hugging all the fish for him (LOL). But all in all we had a good day of fishing. Thanks again guys had a lot of fun fishing with you. Captain Taco (954)764-4344 Aug 30
The night before this trip I got a call from Patty who by the way put this whole trip together she was asking me for directions to the boat. Well of course the first thing I asked her was where was she coming from?? SHE SAID ALABAMA that’s right Alabama and this was at about 8:30 at night (I started to get worried that I would not be fishing in the morning) However when I got to the boat at 6:45 am there was Patty along with Richard from Lakeland Florida, the youngest in the group Caleb from Lake Wales Florida, Trevor from Bradenton Florida Rick and Greg from Alabama and they were all ready to go fishing. So off we went out into the deep blue sea most of the people on board looked and were pretty tired so I think before we even got out to the ocean half of them were sleeping but not for long. We started out trolling the reef trying to catch some kingfish and bonitos. While we did not catch any bonitos we did catch kingfish. While Captain Greg was bringing in one of the king fish I saw a splash on one of our top lines. At first Greg was taking his time to grab the rod and get someone in the chair but then I seen this fish start dancing on the water and just going nuts. It was a big sailfish and we were Hooked Up. Greg went right to Caleb and the fight was on. At this point the ocean started getting a little rough but little Caleb hung in there like a champ. It took about 15 min to get this monster sailfish to the boat but he did and did a great job getting him there. We got a quick measurement of the fish for a replica trophy and a couple of quick pictures and watched him swim away to fight another day. Way to go Caleb After that we did catch some more kingfish but after catching that sail fish the rest of the group was a little more interested in a little sleep. Guys thanks again looking forward to fishing you guys again next year (Drive down the day before) What an exciting August we’ve had it was properly the best fishing in Aug I’ve seen in a long time. And the good news is we are just getting into sailfish season.
